The goal of the RINO MASTROTTO GROUP is therefore not just to consolidate the important position conquered in a competitive sector in constant evolution as that of leather tanning, but also to develop its activities by facing the challenges represented by an increasingly internationalised market with stable organisations abroad, and consolidated relations with the suppliers of raw materials and the outlets for the finished products everywhere in the world.

OUR STRATEGY
The group has shifted its approach from operative to strategic; the basic orientation has moved towards an intention to reinforce and clearly assert its image and market position. With the "We'll tan your hides" slogan the three Mastrotto entrepreneurs have presented themselves and their work, and thus their company, in a simple, sympathetic and innovative manner. Apart from the unusual headline conceived by Oliviero Toscani, one has wanted to convey the group's skills, experience and product guarantee, that is to say, the ability, based on a know-how in constant development, to process and work leather, enhancing its inherent characteristics and improving the raw material with the latest technologies and skills developed through a long-standing approach aimed at a prestigious product of high quality, characterised by an evident and recognised superiority.

| THE COMMUNICATION
The new company resulting from the merger is the legitimate heir of a strategic group which has grown over the years, to consolidate a reality which is by now known and recognised by the market. The definitive passage from a transitory and potentially confused situation to a clear and well-defined reality characterised by the close bonds between companies and entrepreneurs seems to have been accomplished. The most important progress, however, lies in the two last words of the recent slogan "We'll tan your hides without chromium": the company thus wants to announce its dedication to solving the ecological problems associated with its activities. The aim is not just to possibly cease manufacturing a certain type of product and replace it with another, when this is requested by the market: the scope is wider, and is to be understood as a wish to make its activities more ecologically compatible, and to obtain recognition of this fact both on a national and on an international level. We are therefore not referring to an "admission of guilt" - which is nevertheless important - in the sense of recognising one's responsibilities concerning the impact on the ecosystem, but also to a manifestation of a constructive desire to contribute, with the company activities, to solving the burning issue of the environment; a contribution which will inevitably entail rationalising the entire management, first and foremost in order to achieve greater control of the processes and fully complying with regulations in force. This decision not only reflects a sharing of certain social and environmental values, but also indicates the conviction, on the part of the management, of the existence of tangible and intangible essential benefits, both on a short and on a medium to long term, associated with the valorisation, and introduction among the company objectives, of environmental protection.
